ARUSHI ALSO EXTENDS:
  • Mobility training and orientation to increase self–reliance and mobility of the disabled. This training also includes training the sighted persons for escorting the bind on different terrain.

  • Reader/scribe services: Volunteers act as readers for the visually impaired and blind and read newspaper, textbook, magazines and other literature and write exams for them.
  • Resource Mobilization: For generating resources, an exclusive outlet "Aangan" at Arushi exhibits and sells a range of terracotta, bell metal and wrought iron items especially ordered from the Bastar district of Chhattisgarh. Greeting cards prepared by volunteers and children are also sold along with a wide range of decorative diyas and designer candles at fairs. This has brought a good response in terms of fund-raising and dissemination of information regarding disability.
