Arushi has well equipped state-of-the-art recording studio used for recording of books and study material in audio format using the DAISY format (Digital Accessible Information System) for the visually impaired and other print impaired persons. This unit has computers, digital recorders, mixers, microphones and CD recorders necessary for DAISY production. Arushi is one of the founder members of DAISY Forum of India (DFI) a consortium of organizations involved in the production of talking books in the Daisy format.
The Audio library stocks a vast amount of study material in audio on compact discs for the visually impaired. The current collection of recorded study material stands at 20,000 hours. The study material is recorded for school and college going students across various disciplines; and also for those preparing for various competitive exams.
Recording is done in any language for any subject as per the requirement. The Audio material distributed in eleven states- West Bengal, Punjab, Jammu and Kashmir, Karnataka, Rajasthan, UP, Delhi, Haryana, M.P., Chhattisgarh and Assam.
