Confidence-building Activities
Arushi encourages children to participate in various programs held by different organizations in order to promote their integration. This indirectly helps boost their confidence. Arushi also arranges short trips and picnics for children attending Arushi and those from the Urban CBR project.
In order to provide positive role models to children, interaction with celebrities is facilitated. These include sportsmen, film stars, writers, music maestros, scientists and other well-know personalities.
Maitri Mahatosav -an ability exposition is regularly held to encourage persons with disabilities to discover their abilities.
Environmental awareness is disseminated through role-plays, bird watching camps and visits to parks.
An accessibility survey of Ekant park, Bhopal was done to prepare an assessment of its accessibility for the disabled. It was decided to label all major trees with their names and short descriptions in Braille for the benefit of the visually impaired.
