Arushi needs you to contribute your time, skills and resources towards the fulfillment of its dream. Arushi needs your personal support to raise awareness and funds. Arushi organizes outreach and sensitization programs towards the needs and problems of the disabled. Funds come in from corporates, government agencies and individuals for sponsorships of programs and individual sponsorships of children and adults.

How you can help Arushi

Most of our work is dependent on voluntary help. We are constantly in need of people who are ready to devote time in any of our areas of work. We invite you to be a volunteer and contribute your time and efforts for a shared cause.

How your monetary contribution can make a difference

Arushi is a voluntary organization and does not have its own source of funds. The money that you give Arushi will be used to build a core fund the interest of which will be used to carry on the activities of the organization.

Government agencies also provide funds to organizations such as ours. But these are available for specific schemes only. Activities, which do not form part of any scheme cannot be funded from these funds. At present Arushi is getting support from state government in terms of salary (instructors) and subsidizing the rent of the building where its training center is being run but visits to museums, parks etc and events like Maitri Mahotsava also incur costs. Support for starting self-employment ventures and pursuit of higher studies also require funds.

Books and Stationary - Rs 600/- per child, per year
Uniform - Rs 600/- per child, per year
School Fees - Rs 3600/- per child, per year
Meals (at Arushi) - Rs 3600/- per child, per year
School Bus - Rs 4800/- per child, per year
Excursion/Confidence-building activities) - Rs 1000/- per child, per year
Aids and Appliances - Rs 1000 to 5000
