One of the major activities through which Arushi facilitates learning by students with visual impairment is by recording their instructional study material onto cassette tapes. This is done in any language and subject as per the requirement. This mammoth task is undertaken by Arushi volunteers.

Recordings of course material ranges from Class 5 to BA, MA, B Ed, SLATE also for those preparing for the competitive exams of RBI, UPSC and other national level competitive exams. Subjects like Hindi, English, Foundation, Political Science, Sociology, Social Pathology, Psychology, Civics, General Knowledge, Reasoning, Mathematics and Statistics are recorded.

Picture of volunteers recording study material. Currently, there is 15,008 hours of recorded study material, which is being used by 935 blind students. The audiocassettes reach beneficiaries in nine states - West Bengal, Punjab, Karnataka, Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh, Haryana, Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh.
